SUPPORTING KENTUCKY AND WEST VIRGINIA'S NEW EVALUATION EFFORTS
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) has been developing the Professional Growth and Evaluation System, a design process for a new evaluation system for teachers and principals. And the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDOE)has implemented a teacher, principal, and counselor task force to make recommendations for revising their evaluation system. In both instances the ARCC brought in Dr. James H. Stronge, an expert on educator effectiveness and evaluation, who provided valuable training and insight.
