About Us
West Virginia Annual Work Plan
The following initiatives are the focus of the West Virginia annual work plan for 2010-2011.
Initiative 1 Goal: To assist the West Virginia Department in the creation and implementation of a equitable system that articulates, measures, rewards, and develops teacher and leader effectiveness.
Objectives:
- Build the capacity of the WVDE to create and implement a comprehensive system that articulates, measures, rewards,and develops teacher and leader effectiveness.
Initiative 2 Goal: Build the capacity of the WVDE to build a fully coherent, aligned and equitable system of support that builds capacity, promotes equity, supports best practice and fosters innovation from all systems that results in all students being college and career ready.
Objectives:
- Build the capacity of the WVDE to support school and district improvement efforts aimed at increasing student success in college and the workplace.
- Build the capacity of the WVDE to provide comprehensive, coherent technical assistance to schools and districts in need of improvement.
